There are different techniques to stimulate skin collagen formation, including topical creams, needling, fractional laser or most recent one radiofrequency. Each of these methods have their own advantages and disadvantages, for example we can’t reach a deep collagen stimulation with topical creams, or needling, with fractional laser while the collagen stimulation is quite good, the recovery time is quite long and the complications including scarring and skin pigmentation problems are not uncommon. With the most recent radiofrequency technique however, downtime is very short and outcome is as good or even better than fractional laser with almost minimum complications. We use both invasive and non-invasive radiofrequency to improve the skin quality.
One of the most commonly applicable areas for skin tightening is below the eyes with those fine wrinkles that don't respond much to dermal fillers or muscle relaxing injections. Usually patients end up with risky and expensive lower eyelid blepharoplasty. Using radiofrequency can help to improve those wrinkles significantly and postpone need for surgical intervention.
